However, this is no ordinary website, but a website designed to connect property owners with buyers willing to accept cryptocurrencies for their homes.
Hartlepool-based digital marketing firm, Property Webmasters has revealed that they have been contracted to build a cryptocurrency portal for a real estate firm in the UK. The identity of the real estate firm was not disclosed, but property webmasters operations manager James Sheldon said the real estate brand was keen to expand its reach to new frontiers.
The portal will act as a gateway for customers who wish to make payments in cryptocurrencies. Defending the move, Property Webmasters CEO, Jamie Arthur said that cryptocurrencies have been on an upward trajectory over the past 5 years and the firm would naturally “want to be part of that worldwide progress.”

In addition to the contract with the real estate brand, Property Webmasters is also working on a directory for owners that will accept cryptocurrency as payment for their properties. This move is made for crypto enthusiasts and is considered a step in the right direction for better crypto adoption.
Property Webmasters is also reportedly working on a crypto feature for its own AgentPlus website that is scheduled to go live within 12 months. “From an innovation standpoint, it is important that we are looking at crypto,” Arthur said of the company’s plans.
The Rise of Crypto in Real Estate
Across the Atlantic, cryptocurrencies have made a major inroads into North America, with cities in the US and Canada seeing the most adoption. Last month, a Connecticut homeowner listed his 187-year-old mansion for $6.5 million in cryptocurrency. According to the listing description, the owner was comfortable accepting both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
In February, Gene Simmons, a former KISS frontman, listed his Las Vegas mansion for $13.5 million and stated his readiness to accept payments in cryptocurrency. Simmons said it makes sense to provide interested parties with the option of using cryptocurrency to purchase assets.”
