Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada have the most NFT interest – Poland, Nicaragua and Belize are the most anti-NFT countries
A new study published by Cashnetusa.com states that researchers combed through NFT search data in every country in March 2022, and then used the Ahrefs tool to calculate the number of monthly searches per 1,000,000 members of the population . In addition, researchers at Cashnetusa.com also took advantage of the Twitter API and Snscrape tools to sift through tweets matching the “NFTs” and “NFTs” queries. From here they used the Hugging Faces tool developed by Cardiff University to run sentiment analysis on the data. In the end, the team calculated the top 100 NFTs ever found on the OpenC marketplace, and scraped through those specific search volumes in every country with the Ahrefs tool.
Several interesting findings reveal how NFTs have affected each country and the researchers highlight that Singapore is “the hungry” for NFTs. “Singapore searches for NFTs more than any other country, with 18,717 searches per million residents per month,” the study’s description said. The researchers point out that currently, Montenegro is considered the most pro-NFT country worldwide as it captured “862 out of 1000 tweets that proved positive”. European country Poland is anti-NFT according to research, “out of every 1,000 NFT-themed tweets, 227 were found to be negative in sentiment.”
