According to data published by the @letsburnshiba Twitter account, the number of wallets holding the Shiba Inu meme coin continues to grow. As per the tweet, SHIB has a total holder strength of 1,989,215 so far; This is an increase of nearly one million from 1,182,817 in just under a week.
This could indicate that long-term interest in this digital asset has remained stable and is increasing despite the recent massive price drop of the second most popular meme token.
Return of SHIB as Whale’s Largest Holding
According to the WhaleStats website, which tracks the 100 largest wallets on various chains including the Ethereum and BNB chains, the Shiba Inu is now again the largest token by value in USD.
Ethereum Whale holding SHIB has again returned above the $500 million level. At the time of writing, Whale has a Sheba price of $525,200,856. It represents a portfolio of 48,674,778,127,896 Shiba Inu and 13.55% of Whales.
Whales grab MATIC, the most traded token
Data from WhaleStats also shows that over the past 24 hours, the top investors in the Ethereum network have made a cumulative acquisition of 17,108,822 MATICs, which is equivalent to $10,348,876 in fiat.
Buying that amount of MATIC has resulted in four transfers. Meanwhile, while the SHIB USD is the largest holding by value, Polygon’s native coin, MATIC, has become the most traded cryptocurrency for the largest 100 whales.
