
Shiba Inu has become one of the most traded coins, while top ETH whales have acquired over 163 billion of this meme token.
Data available from the WhaleStats crypto tracking platform over the past 24 hours shows that Shiba Inu, the second largest meme coin, has entered the top 10 list of tokens with the highest trading volume.
Meanwhile, a major whale on the Ethereum chain has bought 163.2 billion of these canine tokens.
SHIB becomes one of the most traded properties
According to the WhaleStats website, at press time, the Shiba Inu is ranked eighth on the list of top 10 coins by trading volume. Stablecoins USDT, USDC and its regular rival – the FTT token – are ahead of it.
The Shiba Inu ranks fifth on the list of the 10 most actively sold tokens along with APE, LINK, MRK and UNI.

Whale caught 163 billion SHIB
WhaleStats also shared that the whale “BlueWhale0073”, which has been actively buying Shiba Inu over the past few months, has bought another big chunk of it. Their acquisition included 163,286,048,050 SHIBs, valued at $1,575,710.

The wallet page of this whale shows that he still sells almost all the SHIB tokens he bought. At the time of writing, the investor owns 5,055,490,196 Shiba, which is worth $51,566. This is 1.99% of his portfolio.
Most of this includes USDC (51.77%) and USDT (24.05%) stablecoins and UNI tokens (18.59%).
60.53 million SHIB burned
According to the Shibburn cryptocurrency tracker and the Burn Platform website, a total of 60,537,792 SHIB tokens have been moved to a worthless wallet, i.e. burned, in the past 24 hours.
The number of transactions made to take this amount of SHIB out of circulation was six. The website shows a significant drop in the burn rate of the meme coin; It is down by 34.98% compared to nearly a billion a day earlier.
According to Shibburn, so far a total of 410,370,130,197,615 SHIB have been removed from the circulating supply, while 557,841,134,992,727 coins are in circulation.
An amount of 31,788,734,809,657 SHIB has been staked in various DeFi projects.
