“I sold everything except SHIB and DOGE!”: Jeremy Devinsick
jeremy davinciA well-known bitcoin enthusiast, YouTuber and early crypto adopter, caused quite a stir in both the Shiba Inu and Dogecoin communities with his recent tweet. He wrote that he sold everything except two meme coins, the SHIB and DOGE. However, DaVinci soon rushed to explain that the post was “not at all true”, posting a cartoonish GIF with “it was a joke”. Over the past few days, both DOGE and SHIB have been trading very bullish, and news about the adoption of both coins as a means of payment may not cheer up coin prices.
Shiba Inu finally listed by Europe’s largest exchange
good news for Shiba Inu Enthusiasts: According to the official announcement, Europe’s largest exchange Bitstamp has added support for the SHIB coin. From now on, the Canine Token will be available for trading for exchange users against the US Dollar and the Euro. From today the order books will come in limit-only mode. Limit orders of users will be matched within the same day. Full trading will start as soon as there is sufficient level of liquidity. The exchange had initially announced the SHIB listing in December. However, it was postponed indefinitely due to technical reasons.
SEC Investigates Binance’s BNB
bloomberg reports That the US Securities and Exchange Commission has launched an investigation into Binance’s BNB, caused the coin to drop 4.66% on the news. The regulator wants to find out whether the most popular exchange token is an unregistered security. According to the report, the investigation has not reached any conclusion yet. The SEC cannot take legal action against the exchange. At the moment, BNB is changing hands at $282, down 7.7 percent over the past 24 hours, per CoinMarketCap.
Dogecoin Core Release Plans Announced
dogecoin The developers recently introduced the release plan for the next version of Dogecoin Core, one of the major wallets and a way to handle Doge. One of the high priority points of the plan is the elimination of known bitcoin vulnerabilities. The solution aims to rule out the possibility of attacks that could prevent bitcoin nodes from receiving transactions from other nodes, as well as enhance the overall security of the Dogecoin core infrastructure. Other important points relate to user security and to make Dogecoin Core more ready – either adding an RPC method or setting the wallet’s discard threshold to 0.01 DoGE.
